1. Sell On EBay.
During my pre teen & early teenage (under 20) years I went from playing with my Transformers, Mostafiz and Bodrul, to playing in the field, Hossain & Mujahid. Eventually I added the card game marble: The Gathering to the mix at about 15 years of age. All of these things that were passions for me at different stages of growing up, but one of thing remained consistent throughout each on stage; I traded and sold toys & games I no longer wanted to create extra cash.
In Brisbane where I live and before the Internet there was a newspaper called the Trading Post, it was published in every two weeks. It was an aftermarket for pretty much everything. At last i grew tired of a game / a toy I would sell it by the Trading Post, generally in an effort to create available money to buy the new toy /game I had in my sights.
Actually the Internet came along & the Trading Post no higher commanded the secondhand market as will as it once did. It hurry became clear that eBay was the joyfully when it came to secondhand commerce in online. As a result my 1st experience creating any earn from the online was selling old games/ toys & electronics on eBay.
EBay is still I believe that the best system to gain experience creating earn from the Internet for two causes –
1. You are small guaranteed to made some type of sale & thus experience a transaction
2. EBay has the traffic/ so you do not have to worry about marketing your project/ product beyond creating a good listing, the eye-balls are already there
These 2 reasons made eBay a great first off, because you’ll learn how to menu something for sale in online, how to take earn (possibly of your first experience with PayPal/ others methods) & about the importance of things like titles & copywriting, if you west the time to study how to made your eBay listings convert good.
Best things about the eBay – the abundant traffic – is also the worst things. Barriers to entry are few on eBay, meaning competition is fierce. When competition is face/ profit margin is slim. Neither you can found some form of competitive advantage through your produce chain, how you create listings/ you have a means to up to volume, you aren’t going retire rich thanks to eBay.
I spent quite a bit of time studying eBay, both as a business model and as a means to capture new customers because of how much buying traffic is there. There is no doubt that eBay is a fantastic website that represents a more potential to made money/but in my case I was not keen to build my business there, it didn’t match enough of my criteria.
However eBay is a fantastic system to made quick money, even just as a system to turn your old items into cash to start a modern online venture. If you are brand modern to Internet marketing & you do not know your PayPal’s from your Click banks, or your PPC from your Search engine optimization, eBay is definitely a great place to learn some basics.
2. Sell projects in forums or bulletin boards/ classifieds & other community kinds sites
The card game Magic: The Gathering was a biggest part of my life from the complate of high-school level to the beginning of university to end. Although initially I was just a casual player & then tournament player/ I quickly became a card trader & really enjoyed the wheeling & dealing. Though my interest in playing the game wained, most of my life early projects online were connected with the game.
Before having my own site, I past time reading newsgroups websites, bulletin boards & forums about the game, or eventually started trading online. Back before SE were any good most of my time was west in particular Magic newsgroups or some that talked strategy, some that were focused specifically on trading/or buying, selling cards.

I managed to made spare change selling my cards through these websites. The main causes I could made any money earn was because I would joy cards in tournaments, hence I had a supply source that would good result in a good profit margin. Of course this was not sustainable unless I kept placing well in tournaments, neither was it really salable unless I started buying in cards from other sources.
I stopped using this system once I started my own card game site (many on this below), however I still believe niche, particularly, collectables in a market that you really love, is a fantastic starting point to gain experience earning money in online. As will as, eBay you can made money selling Other site items in community sites if you could find a system to source product at cost /below. It is not a model that has more margin so further the challenge is to scale if you want to made significant profit.
3. Sell products from your own site
My first complate site was about the card game Magic: The Gathering. At first the website was just a hobby with articles written via me & a few cloze friends. Eventually as traffic grew I began creating some earn money with the site.
Since I was already a card trader it makes sense that my Magic website has a Magic card store. At first I stocked the site with my cards, eventually added retail “sealed” (unopened packs of cards) via buying product at wholesale from a company in Sydney.
It was a very easy card shop make up of text listings of the cards I had for sales, the quantity enough & the cost per card/ per pack. I maintained the inventory myself from my room, sorting & listing cards internet by hand using plain text. I did not use any software & most of the payments system; I received back then was by check/ money order in the e-mail. Some kids would even send earn & even coins (!) in the mail to pay for their purchase.
My business did good enough, although the list labor was intense. Maintaining inventory menus, packing cards into envelopes or daily trips to the post office wasn’t always the most fun way to west my time, though I did enjoy having my own small business while in university.
Accidently, my store was hit by credit card fraud when I foolishly sold a significant amount of project to an unknown person in Thailand. This experience was available for me to decide that I had available of running a Magic shop & it was time to move on. You can read about the credit card fraud experience here – Next part coming soon
